for the overall operation of Waukegan Township…A governmental
entity consisting of several other township off-site locations,
Park Place, Staben Center, Staben House.
- Treasurer
for Waukegan Township, administering a budget of over
$2,000,000.
- Coalition to Reduce Recidivism Board Chairman.
- Responsible
for the creation and development of the Staben Center, a facility
for men that are determined homeless, per HUD definition.
This facility will be celebrating its 8th anniversary in October.
The Staben Center received the auspicious Governor’s Hometown
Award in 1994 as well as the Lake County Affordable Housing
Award in 1996.
- Responsible
for the creation and development of the Staben House, a facility
for women and children who are deemed homeless, per HUD DEFINITION.
- Responsible
for the receipt of approximately 1 million dollars from outside
funding agencies and corporations.
