How We Help

Waukegan Township understands that many grandparents and relative caregivers are overwhelmed
by the situations they face.

By networking with other caregivers in similar situations, grandparents don't feel so isolated and alone.

The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group meets - at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

We provide experts prepared to address the particular needs faced by these courageous
seniors for approximately one hour. The children are separated and address a topic similar to what the adults are discussing.

Afterward, families are encouraged to share a meal and discuss the particular topic.

Who is Eligible for Help?
