Over 15 million people under age 55 with disabilities have difficulty getting the transportation they need. Supervisor Jones has conducted meetings to develop a plan to address these transportation needs. The collaboration resulted in the expansion of the transportation program called Dial A Ride. This program will provide a vital lifeline for people who are Seniors (60+) and disabled residents (16+) to access employment, education, healthcare, and community life. The collaboration included; Waukegan Township, Shields Township, and Pace Paratransit.
Information to know:
The resident must live in Waukegan Township.
There is a small fee - One way $3 & Transfers $0.15.
The bus operates M-F 6 am to 6 pm, except on major holidays.
