We understand the importance of easing the financial burden associated with pursuing higher education and offer scholarships that recognize and reward outstanding achievement, leadership and potential. Since 2019, the Partners and Committee of the Artis Yancey HBCU Tour has awarded scholarships to qualifying High School graduates and these scholarships are available only to students who have been accepted into a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), provided proof of enrollment and have met all the eligibility criteria
Waukegan Township is proud to announce the recipients of the Artis Yancey 2024 HBCU Scholarship.
Special thanks to the donors, benefactors along with the members of the $1000 (plus) club that make these scholarships possible for qualifying students. We wish you much success throughout your college career!!! Keep up the excellent work!!!

Through the generosity of our amazing donors and like minded individuals, we are proud to report that four (4) students, representing Lake County high schools, were awarded $1,000 scholarships, as they embark on their collegiate careers at various HBCUs.
