  • CDL driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
  • Residency within Waukegan Township boundaries.

  • Experience working with older adults.
  • Excellent communication skills, tactful, courteous and dependable.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate varying events on evening and weekends.
  • Provide Transportation to and from medical appointments, shopping facilities, and other senior activities.
  • $22 per hour.

Seeking experienced, energetic, and resourceful person to perform the Life-Long Learning Specialist and SHIP Counselor duties for Waukegan Township Patricia A. Jones Center. The Life-Long Learning Specialist, under the direction of the Director is responsible for planning and coordinating life-long learning events, workshops, and activities at Patricia A. Jones Center and at offsite locations.


  • Applicants must have residency within Waukegan Township boundaries.
  • Work well with older adults.
  • Familiarity with community agencies and resources.
  • One year experience teaching and/or leading workshops and classes.
  • Communicate and express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize and complete task independently.
  • Work flexible hours.
