This program provides benefits to adults who are determined “not employable” under the Illinois Department of Human Services guidelines. These Clients participate in community work programs, training and job search.
WTAP Requirements:
Must have been diagnosed with a serious medical condition:
High Blood Pressure
Seizure Disorder
Diabetes
Serious Injury or Surgery
A Medical Evaluation should be done and if found to be unable to work by a Medical Doctor; eligibility assistance for 1 year.
If found to be able to work then eligibility for assistance for 6 months.
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. Resident.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must reside in the Waukegan Township Territory for at least 6 months.
Must be Completely Indigent.
Must not have any cash assistance or monetary compensation.
Assistance is available for single adults considered “not employable” due to the criteria described above.
Assistance continues until the time period expires or eligibility for any other monetary compensation occurs; whichever comes first.
Expectations:
Once approved the client must comply with assigned referrals, workshops, job services and must seek employment if able to work:
